B&B Formigola

The B&B Formigola is located in the center of Corticelle Pieve - Dello (Brescia), a centuries-old hamlet of 900 inhabitants where you can breathe an ancient air.

The structure stands in a building whose certified traces date back to 1700.

In 2022, the building was completely renovated with classic and refined taste, and furnished with antique and period furniture given a modern makeover.

The building faces the church. On the ground floor is an inn, open Wednesday through Sunday-where you can enjoy traditional Brescian dishes. (Go to the inn's website)

A little history...

Known over the centuries as the century-old "Hotel of the Angel," established more than two centuries ago, it was recorded on the charters as an "Inn with a stall", and provided board and lodging to those who, with their horses, passed through Corticelle.

It has undergone many evolutions over the years, but the continuity of management has always remained within the family.

From the ancestor Daniele Bertolini (1840 - 1920), famous in the lower Brescia area for his casoncelli di S. Giacomo and steaming bowls of tripe on Sunday mornings, to his granddaughter "Ninì dell'Albergo" committed to traditions. And finally Ernestina, with Tita's unparalleled skewers.

In the 1980s Angelo took over management and the hotel had transformed into a pizza restaurant.

Today, after being closed for 13 years, a thorough restoration has erased all signs of the passage of time and restored the structure to its former charm.
